What things do women find most attractive in a man? Well here are 10 things compliments of one  Purple Sky Girl!

1. A man who has a personal relationship with God.

This is by far the single most attractive quality a man can possess. Anyone can say “I go to church” or “I believe in God” “I’m a good person.” That’s nice but its not nearly as attractive as a man who mentions God and often…We would prefer to hear our dude say “I was talking to God the other day and…” or “God spoke to me.” Or “I was praying.” “I think God is showing me…” It’s evidence that some communication is happening. Communication with God means change is inevitable. It also means you’ll have something from Him to offer me when I need it. Contrary to popular male opinion—we don’t want to be responsible for your relationship with Him but we would like to find someone we can share our faith with. You don’t have to be a bible scholar but at least be interested enough to learn about Him on your own.  It’s the least you could do and the evidence a Purple Sky Woman  should be looking for. Every thing else  flows from this.

2. Integrity.

A man who does what’s right because it’s right is wildly attractive. It means God can trust him and if God can trust him then so can I. A dude who is always trying to get away with something scares me. Ladies if you don’t want to live in the darkness-choose a man who lives in the light. If we’re honest we all have moments when we’re not 100% honest with ourselves or other people so sow mercy when you can but watch out for negative character patterns.

3. Vision.

A guy who has a clue about who he is gets an A+ and if he’s already taken steps or is taking steps toward that vision even better. It says that he’s self-motivated. We don’t have to pull and prod him. Encouraging a man is something we should definitely do, but ideally he comes already inspired by the Man upstairs. After all, if I’m going to follow I need to know you have a clear picture in front of you.

4. Punctuality & Accountability

A man who is on time is viewed as a thoughtful man, responsible man, and a planner. The attraction– he’s less maintenance.  We have to manage so many things in our day-to-day lives we don’t want to manage you too.  The last thing she wants to be worried about is your ETA besides its inconsiderate when you don’t “check in.”  Trust me, you’ll be so glad when you do. It says to us that you can be trusted, that you honor our time and that we’re on your mind. So remember-be considerate.

5. No excuses.

A man who owns his “ish” is a gem. It means he’s quick to repent (i.e. acknowledges what he did wrong and makes the adjustment quick). This means he’s mature and he’s a grower. A GROWER. Men who always make excuses are sure to stay the same and that’s never fun.

6. Adventurous and/or Romantic.

If we can’t have both—one or the other will suffice, preferably Romance. Women get bored easily and we like to be surprised, so a guy who naturally likes to try new things is a win-ner. Say it with me ladies –WIN-NER! A man who consistently plans a date that is more creative than dinner and a movie is one to remember. So men, make the attempt and ladies when he does be sure to encourage and support his efforts even if he doesn’t get it 100% right. If you criticize and behave badly it might just be the last time he puts himself out there.

7. Swag.

Yep I said it swaaaag or swag potential.  This includes everything from your attitude, teeth, conversation and clothes.  It’s a little blue sky I know but we women like accessories. It’s not a necessity but it sure doesn’t hurt if he goes nicely with my shoes. Granted he doesn’t have to be Taye Diggs but we need him to compliment our style. If he doesn’t but is open,  we’re always willing to help. When it comes to swag, keep in mind Barack drove a car with a hole in it. That’s right, a hole. As noble as our 1st lady was and is Barry  must have had some serious swag to move Ms. Michele past that. I’m just sayin…

8. Sense of humor.

Let me clue you in on a little secret. We females can be uptight occasionally so a dude that can make us laugh is usually going to win. An uptight dude (i.e. a square) isn’t very inviting at least for the majority of us. Make sure our eyes aren’t glossing over during conversation.

9. Financial Wisdom

He doesn’t have to be the wealthiest cat on the block but he does need to be a good manager of what he has.  If he’s “down on his luck” he needs to have both a practical plan AND an accompanying prayer plan in place.

10. The Holy Spirit

He’s the ultimate guide to my heart so if you build relationship with Him, you’re sure to build relationship with me and if you follow Him I won’t have a problem following you. Besides that He’ll be there to remind you when you’re slipping on tips 1-9.
