Thousands of Haitian Americans are waiting by the phone praying to hear from loved ones caught in the aftermath of the 7.0 earthquake that struck Haiti Tuesday January 12th. Projected death tolls have climbed as high as 100,000 but many remain hopeful as non-working phone lines are the leading cause for lack of communication. Millions are showing their support around the world but former President Bill Clinton urged Americans desiring to go to Haiti in support to instead donate to local charities unless they can provide the medical help that is so desperately needed.   President Barack Obama promised “unwavering support”  and has already dispatched military troops as well as air and sea flotilla to provide aid early Wednesday.

Please take a moment-a real moment and pray for the people of Haiti, their loved ones and  grace over world governments that they exercise wisdom  in turning Haiti right side up again.  The pain, suffering and devastation are real and the road ahead is long.
