You know, Jesus never promoted himself and yet He never hid His greatness. Don’t you want that same grace–to simply BE GREAT?

We all want the same thing-permission to “happen.” I admire Jesus for that. He Happened in a major way and He was unapologetic about it. He had no worries about freedom of speech or rejection or paparazzi, of being loved or of being hated. So how did He succeed at being Himself? For starters Jesus only did what He saw His Father doing.

So many times in my own life I’ve toyed with ideas that were far from what God was telling me. Maybe I was chasing money, an “ideal,” or someone’s idea of who I should be. Finally I looked into heaven to see what my Father was saying. Jesus prayed “Thy Kingdom Come-thy Will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.” I hope the Purple Sky brings  heaven to the earth by reminding us  all to look up. In what way (big or small) are you bringing heaven to earth? I haven’t found a better way to happen than that!

We sometimes believe the lie that we’re too small or that “happening” is for someone else with more money, better looks or greater access. Not true. Don’t limit yourself. It will only result in depression and  those inner blues are a result of YOU keeping YOU trapped so break the cycle and BE GREAT.

Another thing is Jesus knew He was loveable and He was wired with greatness. Likewise know that God is head over heals in love with you so don’t be afraid of the wonderfulness He’s placed inside of you. Perhaps you can sing, or you’re good with teenagers. Maybe you’re an excellent strategist or you have a heart for the elderly. Whatever your passion, ask yourself “what am I afraid of?” Could it be you’re afraid to happen? Find inspiration in Jesus, take dominion and don’t quit when things look difficult. Silence the lie that you’re less than or that someone else can do it better. There will never be another you and you were born to live and contribute to 2010 and beyond. So let yourself out of box. Don’t be afraid to Happen!
