Orphans are the King’s Business

As National Foster Care Month draws to an end its worth evaluating how doable it is actually find homes for our nation’s orphans. When you first hear the number of children waiting for a family it can be daunting. When you look at the side by side comparison of the number of children waiting with the number of churches in that state however  things begin to look hopeful. Why? Because there are more than enough churches to solve the problem. If each church in our country found a home for one child we wouldn’t have any orphans. Doable?

Thankfully Churches are having an impact. For example 550 people attended  Wait No More, an event hosted by Atlanta’s Victory World Church. As a result, 165 familes initiated the process of adoption from foster care! An opportunity exists for even more churches to get involved. As churches own this cause the orphan problem in America can be eradicated.
